Surya Namaskar; Sun Salutations are a sequence of yoga asana movements that help warm, stretch and bring balance to the mind and body, normally practiced at the start of a Yoga class. There are many types of Surya Namaskar that are practiced today with each style offering its own interpretation and combination of asanas including Hatha variations, Ashtanga A and B and variatons and modified for Pre-Natal, Childrens yoga etc.
